National Media Holding created

(Kazakhstan Today) - JSC National Information Holding Arna Media has been created by the governmental decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the agency reports referring to prime minister’s press service.

“According to the decree, the main kind of activity of JSC Company Arna Media - efficient control of legal entities, share holdings of which are used as payment for stocks of JSC Company Arna Media to create favorable conditions for increase of competitiveness of information space of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the press release informed.

According to the press service, the list of legal entities approved by the decree, state share holdings, shares of which will be used as payment for stocks of Arna Media include: JSC Company Republican television and radio corporation Kazakhstan, JSC Company Agency Habar, JSC Company Republican newspaper Egemen Kazakhstan, JSC Company Republican newspaper Kazakhstan Truth, JSC Company Kazakh news agency, JSC Company Kazakhstan telecommunications (Catelco), JSC Company Kazteleradio, Zhas Orken Company, Kazak gazettery Company.

Kuandyk Bishimbayev has been recommended for the post of chairman of the board of the holding.
