Gazprom, KazMunaiGas discussed cooperation

(SRI) - Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller and KazMunaiGas President Serik Burkitbaev met on Tuesday in Moscow to talk about cooperation in gas processing and transit, Interfax reported.

According to Gazprom press service, the parties highlighted the need to implement joint projects within the entire chain of value creation and discussed the formation of a joint venture at the Orenburg gas processing plant.

Gazprom and KazMunaiGas also discussed the necessity to upgrade and expand the Central Asia - Center system of main gas pipelines.

The two companies also discussed a joint marketing policy based on a single export channel provided by KazRosGas, a joint venture between Kazakhstan and Russia set up in 2002.
