(SRI) - Kazakhstan may commit to participating in the Odessa - Bordy oil pipeline to Plotsk provided Ukraine produces a feasibility study for the project, Interfax reported on Friday.
Kazakhstan’s ambassador to Ukraine Amangeldy Zhumabaev said at a press conference in Kiev that Ukraine sought Kazakhstan’s participation in the completion of the oil pipeline to Plotsk.
“The only condition for Odessa-Bordy is to demonstrate its viability. In that case neither Kazakhstan nor Azerbaijan would need any more arguments, they will be eager to join the project,” Zhumabaev said according to Interfax.
He stressed that the major European oil producers operating in Kazakhstan will also favor the Odessa-Bordy oil pipeline project.
