BTA Bank’s assets up almost 10 percent in H1 2008

(SRI) - BTA Bank, Kazakhstan’s second largest bank, reported consolidated assets of USD 27.8 billion as of July 1, 2008, an increase of 9.5 percent from the beginning of the year, Interfax reported.

KazTransOil raised USD 275 million five-year loan

(SRI) - Kazakhstan’s state-owned oil pipeline operator KazTransOil has raised a USD 275 million club loan, the company announced on Thursday, according to Interfax.

Temirbank income, assets down in H1 2008

(SRI) - Temirbank, Kazakhstan’s seventh largest bank and subsidiary of BRA Bank announced that its assets have decreased by 3.9 percent in the first six months of 2008 to USD 2.1 billion.

ENRC to be added to FTSEurofirst 300

(SRI) - Index compiler FTSE Group on Thursday that London-listed ENRC is to be added to the FTSEurofirst 300 index after the latest quarterly review along with three other stocks. All the changes will take effect after the close of business on 19 September.

Kazakhstan suggests building an oil terminal in Lithuania
