(SRI) - Halyk Bank, Kazakhstan’s third largest bank and the largest savings institution in Kazakhstan, reported a 28 percent fall in earnings to KZT 15.6 billion (USD 130.6 million) from KZT 21.5 billion (USD 179.2 million) in the same period last year.
TAV and Goldman Sachs bid for Almaty airport
Turkish airport operator said on Monday it has submitted a non-binding bid to buy Kazakhstan’s Almaty airport in a joint venture with Goldman Sachs International, Reuters reported.

(SRI) - In the fist eight months of 2008, Kazakhstan produced 5,459 kg of refined gold, an increase of 2.4 percent from the same period last year, according to the National Statistical Agency.
