Kazakhstan set to increase energy cooperation with Iran
(RFE/RL) - Kayrgeldy Kabyldin, the new president of KazMunaiGas, is guiding the company toward closer cooperation with Iran, and he has made it clear that international sanctions against the Islamic Republic will not stand in his way.

Arawak production rises to 12,750 bopd as Kazakhstan drilling gets underway
(Thomson Financial - Forbes) - Arawak Energy Ltd. said its net production has risen to about 12,750 barrels of oil per day (bopd) after a rise in produced volumes at the Akzhar and Besbolek fields in Kazakhstan.

USDA increases loan facility for Kazakh BTA Bank

(SRI) - The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has more than doubled the direct loan facility extended to BTA Bank, Kazakhstan’s second largest, from USD 55 million to USD 120 million, the bank said in a press release on Thursday.
