(Oil and Gas Journal) - KazMunaiGaz will use Axens’ ParamaX technology for its proposed petrochemical complex, which it will integrate into the 104,500 b/cd Kazakhoil refinery at Atyrau in Kazakhstan.

(SRI) - Nurbol Sultan was appointed the new head of KazTransOil, Kazakhstan’s pipeline operator and subsidiary of KazMunaiGas, succeeding Nurtas Shmanov.

Kazkommertsbank’s net income up 17 percent in January - September
(SRI) - Kazkommertsbank (KKB), Kazakhstan’s second largest bank said that its net profit for January through September 2008 was KZT49.9 billion (USD413 million), a 16.6 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
Kazakh government lowers 2008 economic growth estimate
(SRI) - Kazakhstan’s economic growth slowed to ‘above 3 percent’ in 2008 from 8.7 percent in 2007, the government said in a statement on Tuesday, citing a preliminary estimate.
Samruk-Kazyna admits calls for debt restructuring premature
