EDB to lend USD18.9 million to build grain export facility

(SRI) - Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) has agreed to lend KazExportAstyk, a grain producer and trader, USD18.9 million to construct a grain export facility in Kazakhstan.

The main objective of the project is to increase grain exports to Turkey, Italy, Iran and other grain-consuming countries via the development of flour manufacturing, storage capacities and export infrastructure in the Northern Kazakhstan region.

The project lies within EDB’s mandate to promote sustainable economic growth and diversification of Kazakhstan’s economy through the development of agriculture.
