(SRI) - Kazkommertsbank is facing foreign obligation repayments of USD1.3 billion in 2009, Interfax reported on Monday.

Tenge exchange rate at “right level”
(SRI) - The exchange rate of the Kazakh tenge is at the “right level,” following the recent devaluation, the head of the International Monetary Fund’s mission to Kazakhstan said, Dow Jones reported Monday.

Nurbank names new chairman of management board

(SRI) - Marat Zairov, a former deputy chairman of the managemen board at Halyk Bank, has been appointed chairman of the management board of Nurbank, Kazakhstan’s 10th largest bank.

Nurmukhamed Bektemisov, until now the chairman, will be an advisor to Zairov, Interfax reported.
