Kulibayev to chair three national companies

(SRI) - Timur Kulibayev, one of the two deputy CEOs of Samruk-Kazyna and better knows as a son-in-law of President Nursultan Nazarbayev, has been appointed to chair the boards of directors of three national companies.

The companies, all of which are under the umbrella of Samruk-Kazyna, are KazMunaiGas, the national oil and gas company, Kazakhstan TemirZholy, the national railway company, and Samruk-Energo, which manages power sector assets including the Bogatyr & Severby coal mines and will have a controlling stake in the planned Balkhash power station.
