(SRI) - ArcelorMittal Temirtau, the Kazakh unit of the global steel producer, reached a deal with its workers to avoid layoffs or shutdowns by introducing three-month pay cuts.

BUSINESS AND ECONOMY:

Inflation slows further in May
(SRI) - Consumer prices in Kazakhstan rose 0.7 percent in May, as growth in prices of food and services slowed, and the annual rate fell to 8.4 percent from 8.8 percent the previous month.
