(SRI) - BTA Bank reported an estimated loss of KZT1.188 trillion ($7.9 billion) which would result in negative shareholder equity of KZT743 billion ($4.9 billion).

(bne) - Kazakhstan’s attempt to test its new concessions law with the launch of four public-private partnership (PPP) tenders for major road projects wasn’t a success. (SRI) - Russian LUKOIL may offer more than $1.5 billion to buy out BP’s share in LukArco, a joint venture which controls production and transport assets in Kazakhstan, Reuters reported citing LUKOIL’s president Vagit Alekperov.
Kazakh regulator suspends Astana Finance licenses
(SRI) - Kazakhstan’s Financial Supervision Agency (FSA) suspended several licenses issued to Astana Finance, a large domestic lender which had announced plans to restructure its debt in May.

Roxi secures $24.5 million in financing
(SRI) - Kazakhstan-based oil junior Roxi Petroleum said on Wednesday it had secured a total of $24.5 million funding through an equity line of credit facility and a share issue.
