(SRI) - The National Bank of Kazakhstan has slashed the key refinancing rate from 9.0 percent to 8.5 percent as inflation slowed.

Uzbekistan accepts Obama’s call for “new beginning”

(Reuters) - Uzbekistan strongly welcomed U.S. President Barack Obama’s call for a “new beginning” in ties between Washington and the Muslim world, signaling a departure from the Central Asian state’s usual anti-Western sentiment.
