BTA quits KazPrime due to restructuring
(SRI) - BTA Bank will withdraw from participating in Kazakhstan’s key interbank deposit indicator, KazPrime, as of August 6, due to its debt restructuring process.

Sberbank assets up 52 percent in first half of 2009
(SRI) - The assets Sberbank’s Kazakh subsidiary increased by more than a half to KZT128.452 billion ($856 million) in the first six months of 2009, according to the bank’s unaudited financial statements.
