(SRI) - KazMunaiGas (KMG) is still in talks with Central Asia Petroleum, an Indonesian company which controls the Pavlodar oil refinery, trying to close the deal that would give the national oil company control over the downstream assets in Kazakhstan.

Economic crisis may lead to lower costs for Kashagan
(SRI) - The consortium of international oil companies developing the Kashagan oil field in the Caspian Sea said on Thursday that the global economic crisis is likely to significantly reduce the costs of developing the giant offshore deposit.
