It’s Bruyneel or me, says banned Vinokourov
(AFP) - Banned Kazakh rider Alexandre Vinokourov, whose doping suspension ends on July 24, insisted he will return to the Astana team even if it means its manager, Johan Bruyneel, has to leave the team.

It is right that Vinokourov should return to Astana. Regardless of events in 2007 he is a magnificent athlete and a dedicated Kazakh patriot.
I hope that Bruyneel can compromise on this.
