Samruk-Kazyna agrees to give Alliance $856 million
(SRI) - Alliance Bank has reached an agreement with the state holding and investment company Samruk-Kazyna on Wednesday to obtain KZT129 billion ($856 million) in exchange for a controlling stake in the bank.

Alliance chairman leaves Kazakhstan
(SRI) - The chairman of Alliance Bank, Margulan Seisembayev, has reportedly left Kazakhstan, Interfax said on Wednesday citing the financial police.

Kazakh tenge ‘lies’ must be punished - Marchenko
(Bloomberg) - Kazakhstan central bank Governor Grigoriy Marchenko said there will be no devaluation of the tenge this year and bankers who fueled speculation of a currency slump must be punished.

KazAgro spending to be overseen by KNB officers

(SRI) - Kazakh intelligence officers have been assigned to KazAgro, the national agricultural holding, to oversee the spending of funds allocated by Samruk-Kazyna within the anti-crisis program, Kazakhstan Today reported on Wednesday.
