(SRI) - Temirbank, a subsidiary of BTA Bank, reported losses of KZT27.2 billion ($181 million) in the second quarter of 2009, the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) said in a statement.
(SRI) - Sumitomo Corp. plans to form a joint venture with the Kazakh national uranium company Kazatomprom to produce rare-earth metals, Bloomberg reported citing Nikkei English News.
(SRI) - Crude oil production in Kazakhstan in January through July increased by 5.4 percent year-on-year to 43.6 million tons, while natural gas production rose by 6.2 percent to 20.6 billion cubic meters, the state statistics agency reported.
