BMB Munai income falls in Q2

(SRI) - BMB Munai, an independent oil producer, reported a net income of $31 thousand in the second quarter of 2009, a significant decrease compared to the same period last year when the company recorded net income of $13.3 million.

Oil and natural gas production up January - July

(SRI) - Crude oil production in Kazakhstan in January through July increased by 5.4 percent year-on-year to 43.6 million tons, while natural gas production rose by 6.2 percent to 20.6 billion cubic meters, the state statistics agency reported.
