BTA to shift focus on domestic market - presentation

(SRI) - In a presentation to investors, BTA Bank said it plans to turn its focus on Kazakh market and dispose of all “non-core” assets like its retail subsidiary Temirbank. In Kazakhstan, it expects to trim staff and cut branches.

(SRI) - Sergey Eltsov, former head of the Investment Fund of Kazakhstan, has been named deputy chairman of BTA Bank, according to a press release issued by the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).

KNB concludes Dzhakishev investigation

(SRI) - The National Security Committee (KNB), Kazakhstan’s intelligence service, concluded its criminal investigation of Mukhtar Dzhakishev, the former head of the state nuclear company Kazatomprom, and his associates, the IA Novosti news agency reported on Tuesday.
