(SRI) - Astana Finance plans to reduce its international debt by $650 million, in part by issuing new shares to give its creditors a majority stake in the lender.

(bne) - Now that Kazakhstan’s economy is starting to revive, the country’s major banks are preparing for a resumption of growth in the sector - but a period of more cautious and conservative growth.
