(SRI) - KazTransOil transported 42.57 million tons of crude oil in the first ten months of 2009, a 7.5 percent increase compared to the same period last year, according to the company’s statement.
KazTransOil, a subsidiary of Kazakh national oil company KazMunaiGas, transported 14.5 million tons of oil via the Atyrau-Samara pipeline to Russia, 6.2 million tons via the Atasu-Alashankou pipeline to China, and 4.32 million tons of Russian crude via the TON-2 pipeline.
The Kazakh national pipeline operator also carried 7.78 million tons of crude in tankers across the Caspian Sea.
The total length of pipelines that the company operates is 5,300 kilometers.
