(SRI) – Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev appointed Bagdat Maykeyev and Sergei Gromov Deputy Defense Ministers, the presidential administration said in a statement on Tuesday.

Maykeyev previously served as Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Almaty Region, and Sergei Gromov was Secretary of the ruling Nur Otan party.

Muslim Umiryaev has been named Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Masimov said in a statement published on his Twitter page on Tuesday.

Umiryaev previously worked as the Deputy CEO of the Food Contract Corporation, a large state-owned agricultural trader.
