Welcome to the Silk Road Intelligencer website.

Since its inception in June 2007, the Silk Road Intelligencer has been one of the top providers of English-language news from Kazakhstan.

For nearly five years the website provided a mix of unique stories and links to other articles written by journalists covering Kazakhstan but, as so often happens, momentum started drifting away and the website began to fade.

In May 2012 The Conway Bulletin, a London-based newssheet reporting on Central Asia and the South Caucasus, bought the Silk Road Intelligencer and rescued it.

After a re-design, The Conway Bulletin re-launched the Silk Road Intelligencer website. In keeping with its origins, the website will remain a free service, updated regularly throughout the week.

Alongside the website, however, is also the Silk Road Intelligencer weekly newssheet. This is a premium product, published every Friday. It is currently free, although from sometime in 2013 it will shift on to a paid-for platform.

The Silk Road Intelligencer newssheet adds value by giving busy readers the most important news from that week from Kazakhstan in one easily digestible A4 page.
